Photoshop taking over

I can't find the option to not make PS open my raw files on my mac,can anyone help?

youll proably need to set another program as the default for those files.

hi Nell,yes I just can't find the option,stupid i know because I've done it before but forgotten where it is,i thought it would be in preferences but no sign of it

Try this:

• Select a RAW file
• Get the info window
• Select the wished app. I recommend PREVIEW since it is the fastest to
show and to quit, best for me would be to select "none" (but this is no option)
since I prefer to open my RAWs from within my RAW converter.​

You're done.

Right click any RAW file, select Get Info > Open With
Select whatever programme you want to open that file type, then click Change All.

Job done.

Thankyou all,yes David and Daniel to make it universal for all say CR2 files as David says Change all has to be clicked otherwise it seems you have to do it for each individual file.
all done,was really bugging me cus Photoshop was taking over lol

You're done.

You probably already know, but the quickest way to 'show & quit' an image, raw files included, is just to tap the space bar while the image is selected in finder.
You can also scroll through other images once one is 'previewed' by using the cursor keys.
