Hi folks
Basically i've made a synth from a kit, drilled the holes for pots etc. I'm attempting to design decals for the front panel. I've drawn a rectangle to the right size(but on my screen however i zoom its too big/small) but need to get the right dimensions for adding labels pot markers etc

How do i get it to the right dimensions so i can mark and draw accurately so everything is in the right place?

I hope this makes sense. I'm probably just stupid:cuckoo:it's driving me mad

yeah i've done that. sorry i knew i'd not explained well. I know it will print to the right size but how do i make it the right size on my screen so i can measure out the pots successfully? am i just being an idiot?..probably

no i guess not. its measuring out the scale i'm having trouble with. cheers for the link. very helpful

CTRL and R will give you the ruler tool, then CTRL + (or -) will resize the preview, just scale it untill a proper ruler near enough matches the screen ruler view. Note photoshop doesn't display sharpening etc correctly at less that 100% so just use it as a rough guide to how the logo will look.

That's wonderful. Thankyou. Works a treat. I really need to learn those keyboard shortcuts :)

Or do what I suggest above and have your photoshop permanently set up to display a real print/ruler size every time.. just by doing what you suggest once, and having it set as the default screen resolution.

Thanks everyone. Knew it would be something simple but I could not for the life of me fathom this out myself. I've been quite frustrated :D
