Thanks Dan.

gimp is free, although i did try it once and found it tricky. photoshop all the way for me.

I don't know Corel, but for the average togger (I include myself) - & rom what I can see from a quick looksee, go for elements. There's not much that I want to do that elements can't do quickly & reasonably easily.

Photoshop elements is very good - V8 new one, you might be able to pick up V7 at a great price

Yes I used to have gimp but then when to CS3 - much easier/better! ;)

Can you do HDR on adobe photoshop elements? as i know you can on coral

Hi people im in the shop and they have coral paint shop pro and adobe photoshop elements 7 and both are around the same price one is £10 more which should i go for

Thanks Dan.

I agree Photoshop Elements 8 is good if you find it. Version 7 is as good too. Go for it. Moreover, as stated by SpikeK6 lots of training material in magazine Discs that will help learning it faster.

photoshop elements all the way, i have photoshop CS3 instead because i got it from a discrete source for very cheap, but i would have got elements if i never had CS3 as there is no doubt about the power it has.
