it also looks like buying this plus a Lightroom 2 upgrade works out cheaper than buying a full Lightroom 2.

For someone who already has photoshop, is it worth getting lightroom, does it really speed up your workflow?

I believe that LR1 will only support cameras with a release date up to maybe around a year ago. For example, I believe it's true that LR1 cannot process files from the Canon 50D, 5D2 and newer. I imagine the same might be true of newer cameras from other brands as well.

Mine wouldn't work with the 450d until I updated it. But the update is easily available.
