After a serious pc malfunction:eek: I'm looking to replace with ps elements. Don't know which one I used before. version 9 seems to be about £50 , version 7 is £20. does that make the older one a bargain or out of date..
90% of the time I shoot wildlife (birds mainly) and mostly use the (get rid of twigs you don't want ) brush.. I'm not the best at photoshop and it once took me about an evening to get a fly from one photo onto a bird photo and combine them.. I had no idea how I did and couldn't repeat it if you bet me a thousand pounds... So nothing too technical needed:)

If you look around, you will find Elements 10 for £49.99 or less. I think 7 is good but 9 and 10 are a little easier to use and of course they will be updated with new features etc.
You could always get the Elements 10 trial. Its a free download from Adobe and you can use it for 30 days to make your mind up if its suitable.

Get 9 or 10 for the content aware healing....

I wouldn't buy an older version than 9 as it won't get Camera Raw updates for the latest cameras. I'm still using version 6 on this PC but have to switch to the other one which has V9 if I want to use RAW files from my D7000 or X10.
