Hi, I have received some very helpful advice on scanners in another forum, and would now like to ask a question about software:
I currently use software that came with a HP camera (HP Photosmart Essentials) to catalogue and tag (with subject name and date) my images on the PC, and have done so since about 2007 even though I have since upgraded to a Panasonic camera.
When downloading the images from my camera they also appear in My Pictures.
Although a novice, I do appreciate that any software that comes bundled with a camera is going to be fairly basic, and would now like to consider something like Photoshop Elements 8.
My question is: If I were to purchase and install Photoshop Elements 8, can I then transfer across, all of the images and information that I have in HP Photosmart Essentials/My pictures, or do I have to start cataloguing and tagging all over again ?
