Hi, I am having problems using the organiser on photoshop elements 10, my photos have been taken on my Canon slr 7d, image recording quality set to medium fine,CF card is Sandisk Extreme 60MB/s, UDMA 16 GB, photos shot in JPEG, then downloaded into photoshop elements 10 organizer via a card reader (this is no problem ) the problems starts when they are in the organizer and I try to move them into folders, within the organiser, it is very slow and prone to sticking, it can take upto 30 seconds for each photo, I have tried closing all other application while doing this but it makes no difference, my computer is a MacBook Pro OSX version 10.8.3 2.6 Ghz with 8 Gb mem

Cant answer your question, but instead of using folders, why not just use categories/tags? You can then browse easily and find stuff just as easily, if not easier than using separate folders.

What folder names were you going to create for instance?

The sort of thing you can do is have a category "landscapes" and then sub category of "Dorset" (e.g.), Or a keyword Dorset, keyword for sunset, coastal etc and drop a mixture of those on sets of images in one go.
Very easy to find stuff later on then aswell.

Hi James, there is an 'Elements Village' site that will probably help on this and many other areas of Elements. Most helpful site for this software. Hope this helps see below

I gave up on the Elements organiser (Elements 9 that is) as I found it impossibly clunky with no real solution found. I have used LR ever since. It is better in every way.
