Photoshop CS5.5 Spot Healing brush issue

Hi guys

I'm having a wierd issue with the spot healing brush in CS5.5. Whenever I use it to remove a dust bunny etc it leaves a visible ring round the outside of the area, the size of the brush, if that makes sense

I've tried changing the hardness/opacity settings, but nothing makes any difference.

After Googling the issue I found others having the same problem, but could'nt find a definitive answer/fix for it. So. I'm wondering if anyone here has/had the same issue & solved it?

Btw, I never had this problem in CS4, only in CS5.5 & dont wanna go back to CS4 as I like the Content Aware feature in CS5.5

Colin, do you have the content-aware button highlighted and the mode set to normal on the tool options bar.
To reset any tool, right click on the image of the tool in use at the top left of the screen.
