Hi - just recently bought CS4. Loving the software already but have come to a small hurdle. I need to open up two images shown together within the main window. I open them both but cant see them together unless i minimise the window. What im attempting to do is layer a border image on top of my own picture. ive tried going into preferences and changing it (as per a google search) but cant work it out as per the instructions. Anyone able to help . i havent used bridge yet as ive only had this software for days.
thanks
:)

if im understanding the question properly, here is the solution, ( 1 of many)

have the border image showing, goto the select menu and choose > select all.
goto the edit menu, and choose copy.
now close the window with the border showing and goto your picture.
goto the edit menu and choose paste.

If its about viewing them both together you can use the window menu and choose arrange.
when both pics are showing you can just use the move tool to drag one pic onto the other.

as said above, this is what I do too.

If you prefer shortcuts...

Have the "border" page open, and while holding CTRL, press A, then C, then D.
This will Select the border, copy it, then deselect it.

Then you just need to go to your other picture, and press CTRL + V.

But if anyone else has any other method, I'd be interested in hearing how other people do this in CS4

Go to window/arrange/float all windows that'll leave both images open at the same time, instead of the tabbed layout.
