Photoshop CS4 Problem!

Sometimes,not all the time.
This message comes up saying cannot open file.Photoshop doesnt recognise it...

Is there anyway to fix this as its really becoming a pain in the tits.:bang:

it help to know what you are trying to open.
a RAW file jpg or psd?

Raw exported from iPhoto to the desktop then opened via CS4

when you say exported from iphoto in what format?
i dont know iphoto i am a pc user.
do you not have bridge on mac?

I'm not familiar with mac nor iphoto but...exported a (presumably) raw file from iphoto into a raw file on desktop? Can you not copy it?

I was going to say, if you have bridge then iphoto is redundant apart form a slideshow facility?

You may simply need to update the ACR plug in in Photoshop.

Not all NEF or Canon CR2 files are the same.

In Photoshop, go to Help, and click on UPDATE. That'll automatically download and install the upgrades that are available. Check out what you are downloading cos it updates all Adobe apps including Acrobat, so it could end up being a long download if you don't want the "extras"
