Hi all,

I am trying to put a speech bubble on a photo using CS3. So I use the custom shape tool and find the speech bubble.

How do I change the thickness of the line? I want a transparent fill with a 5 or so pixels thick lin.

I have been trying to do it for an hour with no success so any help would be appreciated. I am happy to have my intelligence insulted while you are there if you wish.
:cuckoo:

Thanks

Thought I'd have a go at this! Not sure if there's a better way but I managed it anyway.

Try this...

Make the speech bubble, filled with black. Then on the Layer menu, choose Rasterize>Shape.

Next, click inside the bubble with the Magic Wand to select it, then press Delete (which removes the black bubble, just leaving the selection). You could use the eraser tool instead of Delete if you wish.

Then on the Edit Menu, use the Stroke command. Enter the thickness of the line in pixels in the dialogue box that appears. Then deselect. Simples! :D

In the layers palette, once you have loaded the speech bubble, make sure the shape 1 is highlighted, then click the little drop down arrow next to the fx and this should reveal an effects and a stroke menu.

Click the stroke menu and it should open a dialogue box for you to play with the settings.

Hope this helps.
