Well Adobe have bumped the price of a subscription again and this time it is a bit much in my opinion, a 50% increase.

Is anyone aware of any deals or discounts about for photoshop?

I appreciate there are alternatives to Photoshop, some better that others, but I am getting on now and have used Photoshop for years so I am trying to avoid having to use something new.

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

All the best,

Milo

Very likely there will be offers on Amazon Prime day which is coming up soon for 12 month subs.

When you say “Photoshop” do you actually mean Photoshop on its own, or do you mean the 20GB Photography Plan @ £120p/a. If it is the latter then Adobe will still honour the plan as long as you pay annually for it. When my current subscription ends Adobe have told me that my next payment to them will be £99.29p/a.

I have the annual 20GB photography plan, which I pay on a monthly basis, It is increasing by 50% give or take a few pence

You can change to annual payment for about £120 p.a. as stated above.

Note that Adobe released the plan in 2013, and this is the FIRST price increase since then, and only for those that pay monthly.

£120 in 2013 is equivalent to £192 today, based on inflation rates, which is just over 50% - so while the monthly cost appears to be having a big jump, it's actually just the delayed addition of inflation.

Also upon checking my adobe account last year I had actually paid upfront for the whole year, they are not honouring that

When I checked today and the only option I have in my adobe account is to either cancel my subscription or suck up the price increase.

Adobe have been really sneaky with this

I note also there is an offer on Amazon at the moment but it clearly say's it is a different plan and will not extend my current photography 20gb plan

Someone also makes mention in the comments for the listing to be aware of this as you could end up being billed twice.

When my subscription ended two months back Photoshop offered me nothing. Just a three months at £10.00 then 9 months at £15.00. No offer of even paying £120.00p/a. My subscription was in fact p/a when I bought one of the Amazon packages the year before. Some people say that if you tell them you are going to leave Photoshop etc, they will offer 50% off or more. NOPE, all they did was end my account.

It's all a bit complicated because Adobe have discontinued the 20gb photography plan for new users since January. So best option is probably to cancel and start fresh with an upgrade to the 1tb plan which is £107 for a 12 month sub on the Amazon Prime day offers. If you only need Lightroom it is £65 on the amazon prime day offers.
