Photoshop Actions

Hi guys I'm learning PS and LR and wanted a steer, I'm into Macro and Motorsport and wanted to dload or Buy a set of actions that helps with the processing, my Das who's 83 forgets stuff now and again, and I've recorded some for him, but i wanted to know if anybody has a selection or a site compilation that kinda makes pictures Pop, i know there is also a learning curve with these but can you advise me

Kinda normal colour photos, better skys etc

Could you not do it in lightroom with a preset? Might be easier for him..
