Photos on DVD

A little while back I was trying to get Pro Gold to display some pics I had taken as a slideshow on DVD. It worked well apart from the annoying habit it had of transforming all my pics into the TV's aspects, I would far rather there was more black space around a pic that it decide what to do with it.

Does anyone know if it is possible to stop Pro Gold doing this, or is there other progs out there that don't try to be so clever.

Yes you can do this. Best way is create a png file in photoshop and cut out the centre at an appropriate ratio and save as a transparent png. Make this layer the top layer and the you shall be able to see the image below. You can arrange it to any size you like. It's basically called a mask.
