Hi guys I'm just having a play with TextExpander and I was wondering what the most common abbreviations you pro's use when captioning.
I've had a look on Getty Sports and their captioning and found the following on a Liverpool photo
"Dirk Kuyt of Liverpool competes with Lars Jacobsen of West Ham during the Barclays Premier League match between West Ham and Liverpool at Boleyn Ground on..."
How would something like this be abbreviated?
I was thinking of
L18 (Dirk Kuyt of Liverpool)
cw (competes with)
WH18 (Lars Jacobsen of West Ham)
during (this would fill in the fixture, ground and date details etc)
Is that on the right track or would you guys do it differently
Also I think it'd be great to have a thread where we could share the most common abbreviations you pro's use, this would be a great learning resource for amateurs like myself
for example
itb = is tackled by
What do you think?
