As the thread title says, are there any alternatives to photomatix when creating HDR images?

FDR Tools Advanced
Dynamic Photo HDR
Artizen HDR
Adobe Photoshop CS3/4

They're all pretty good, just produce different results. Try out the free versions to see what you like most. :thumbs:

I have used all of the above software and have to say that the best of the bunch is Photomatix Pro, closely followed by Dynamic HDR. I quite like the feature in Dynamic Photo HDR which allows you to manually align the images if the software can't do it for whatever reason.
 
I came across a free package the other day, called HDRtist, haven't really tried it yet.
