Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm exporting particular images from Lightroom to Photolab v5 for sharpening/denoising but am having real problems exporting them back to Lightroom. Either the export simply fails or it succeeds and I get a grid of horizontal lines across part of the image. I've reported this to DXO and they are looking at it but just wondered if anyone else was having the same problem?

I'm on LR Classic now but was having the same problem with v6.14, although I had done it successfully many times previously.

I have a similar problem with Lightroom 6.14 and Affinity Photo. The problem is that Lightroom exports as a tiff file and Affinity Photo saves as a tif file - one 'f' less. I solved this by exporting from Lightroom as a PSD file.

I gave a similar problem with other software pairs where one saves as jpg and the other as jpeg.

Interesting! I wonder if DXO has thought of looking at that........

But I don't think its that simple; sometimes I've had a successful export but the image has a network of horizontal lines over part of it.

IIRC a 3 letter suffix is from the PC world and 4 letters Mac world. There should be no difference in the actual file at all.

No difference in the file but if Lightroom has exported as a tiff, that is what is held in the Lightroom catalogue and Lightroom will not 'see' the tif file unless you specifically import it.

Not a problem I have experienced, and my workflow is to import from memory card to LR Classic, export to PureRaw2, which does its business and automatically re-exports back to LR.

Yes, that's how it should be. :)
Sounds like it’s not the PureRaw part but something in the way PL does the export. BTW, I’m using Mac, if it makes any difference.

Just an update. I' still having this problem. I've been going through DXO's custmer services, I've sent them the files, the examples, the unmodified files, the sidecar files, and their tech people have been looking at them. It's an intermittent fault but most files fail or have a network of horizontal lines running across them.

I suggested that to save both me and their tech people time and frustration they could send me a free update to PL6 or a copy of PureRAW2 but you can imagine what the response was.......

The latest update of PureRaw 2 no longer allow it to be used as a plug in with LR6.14.
Bit annoying because it did before the latest update, so I asked DxO, their reply below

DxO PureRAW is constantly enhancing and improving its technologies so it can correspond to the changes in latest host applications updates, such as Adobe Lightroom. Because of these advancements, the development team advises that you please consider updating Lightroom to at least version 11, or better yet, update to Lightroom 12 for maximum compatibility with PureRAW 2.

Fair comment, but not sure why they couldn't leave it working
