Hi, im starting a piece of A level photography coursework and am stuck for what subject to choose. I have already done photograms, soft and sharp, fish eye and faded.
But im really stuck on what to do next. :bang:

So could some of you give me some good subject starters to help me out please.

Thanks , Matt

Colour and colour effects, worked well for me when I did a BTEC

i was thinking macro but then i'd have to buy a good macro lens

rent or borrow maybe?

does the college not have lens they lend out? what about other togs on the course?

How about....the mundane?

Everyday items, try to take photos from angles that we dont normally see etc?

Other ideas:

Depth of field / Bokeh (http://www.diyphotography.net/diy_create_your_own_bokeh)
light and shadows
smoke effects
waste (rubbish, scrap yards etc)
nature

What's the coursework assignment? Anything you want? Is it supposed to be based around a technical point, a genre or an 'arty' idea?

we have to choose anything that we want. no genre or anything like that.

theres some good ideas here, thanks people. keep them coming if people can think of more

...pin hole photography? There's an artist who set a pinhole camera up on a balcony in, I think, Paris, and took the exposure for an entire year - really interesting image!

This is going to sound really harsh, and I aplogise for that, but half the point of doing courses like this is to expand your own creative process - you're not going to do that by asking other people to suggest ideas for you...

Do yourself an favour and think for yourself - do your own research and find some subjects that interest you...

Part of the creative process is having your own concept in the first place - then you go out and find an original way of capturing that...

I see what your saying and I only asked for some subject so that i could see other peoples ideas. I'm not going to choose one of these things for my course i just wanted some inspiration.

This is a type of researching, to see what others have done before and get ideas and inspiration from them. Then the next step is to take what I have found from this and choose my own subject.

From this I have learnt that photography doesn't just have to stick to what we see it can also be emotion/senses/beliefs etc.

I appreciate your comment and everyone's input.
