I know this question has been asked before, but thought I'd ask again just to try and get a good feel for where I should pitch myself.

I have been asked to do a half day shoot in the next month, largely people shots, and probably no more than 20 final shots.
Should I charge per shot, or a day rate that includes a selected number of shots...??

How does this work !! :)
Any ideas for a daily rate I should charge a client.
Yes it may lead to other commisions but no real guarantee.

Welcome any opinions, I know this it ultimately down to me, but I do want to position it quite carefully...

:help: :help:

As a guide, dont wedding photographers usually charge a fee based on how many photos you buy off them...? So a daily or half-day fee, add on a fee for the number of pics.

Hey Chewy how's the lens cap? :)

What kind of people images is it? Portraits or candids?

I charge £120.00 for the 1st hour and then £75.00 hour after that to contact and a cd, any prints are charged extra for PR stuff, Depending on how much work is involved I would probably charge for this type of shoot taking around 3 hours work plus the post processing time about £275.00 to contact plus charge extra for any prints. Do not give them the cd as they will just go to happy snaps!!
