photography pop up tent

I bought a small tent it wasn't too different to this - it came with a couple of backdrops in it too - blue, Black & the white

Was from Maplins and cost about £20/25

not had any experience with those though - sorry:|

could you send me a picture were you've used a pop up tent?

Hi - I deleted all my images that I took using it as I bought it on my collage course - sorry I know thats not much help:(

However we took mainly images of small objects really - it worked fine!
It was a suggestion from our tutor, he thought they were great for the money, but to be honest I don't really use it now. I'm more into people & horse photography!

I'm not much help really am I - Sorry:|

To be honest it seems like a really good price for the size - mine wasn't that big, infact mine was approx 45cm square

i'd be using it for praying mantis photography :)
do you have to put a light ontop of it? sorry im new to photography

i use one for reptiles, only just got it and havn't really used it that much but these were taken shooting into the tent with camera mounted flash and small softbox, but u can light them from the sides of the tent and the walls act like a softbox (although i havn't tried this method yet.

worth gettin just for the bargain price ***, they're pretty good for reptiles/insects because they cant get far if they try and run lol

Hi Becky... you can use daylight, flash - on or off camera, a normal 'daylight' type indoor light bulb and so on all just by way as examples...

In other words you can play away and experiment to your hearts content until you get the results you are happy with... ;)

There are no rules as such so just be creative... :D

If it helps I took all of the gear shots in my miscellaneous Gallery using the Maplins box referred to above... ;)

The price for the one you have seen seems pretty good for what you get and it is a reasonable sized product type box...

HTH... :suspect:

:p

I bought one of the Maplins ones recently - they were selling them off for £9.99 each. Got it to use for photographing wedding rings for a client.

I bought a massive one 170x170 because I do food shots and need to get a lot of depth and get in with it to adjust things. I love to stick mine in front of a window, let the free lighting do its stuff and bounce light with reflectors. Mine cost £60+ with White, Blue, Red and Black backgrounds. By the way unpack the BG's and iron them and roll them round something for storage or you get nasty creases in you shots.

I bought that exact one, it's MASSIVE. Well worth the money, I use it for whacking stuff on ebay, SB900 shooting up at the roof of the tent from outside and it makes for dead easy product shots.
