Hi,

I am off to the autosport international show at the NEC next weekend, and will be taking my 350D and my 17 to 70mm with me.

Can anyone offer any advice on what kind of settings would be best bearing in mind the amount of spotlights that will be used there?

Thanks

Never shot in those sort of conditions but i would have thought RAW is the best starting point, at least you will have more control over the pics in PP

DoubleT took some great shots at Mercedes World (see THIS thread which you commented on) - He mentions how & what to check etc which might help (?)
ppp's point about RAW seems a good idea imo
Paul ;)

Might be a good idea to put on any lens covers, this may help to stop any flare off the lights.

Perhaps keep it in AV mode that way you can crank up and down to suit, might be worth taking a seperate flash if you've got one.

Because a tripod can be quite big, if you need longer shutter times a monopod would be an advantage, not too bulky either.
