Photography around the house ideas?

Hi guys,

I think this is the right section, sorry its not.

But I've recently got my self a Nikon D5200 and absolutely love it .

But what are you guys photographing around the house? As its pretty wet and windy outside so don't fancy going out to brace the cold.

Pics would be awesome too

Kids, pets, christmas trees/decorations, set up water splash in the sink, self portraits, lego scenes.. The list is endless but depends on what other equipment and stuff you have in the house.

Well, macro is a good place to start, looking to my right I spy an alien or just my joystick...

Yeah I suppose there's a lot but find it hard to picture the shot if that makes sense.

I have the basic essentials I'd say, like a tripod for one lol.

Then a glass ball, led lights, torches, flash gels that sort of thing

Well use your imagination and a touch of lateral thinking amd you can have great fun.

Try with food. Cook something interesting and than photograph it. And you'll have yourself a treat afterwards!

I've been doing just that, also with a Nikon (D3100). I've experimented with some closeups of household items - decor, glasses, toys, candles, etc. Never short of subjects in the home.
