Hi

not sure where to post this so if it is in the wrong place I am sorry.

I have been asked to take some photos for a local business for their website the owner is a friend of mine so just doing it as a favour really but am not sure how to go about this.
They make glass fronted buildings I tried a couple of pics and as it is a building site I am clearly visible in my yellow high vis jacket in the pics. I have lowered my tripod and lay down to get some reasonable pictures just wondered if anyone had some advice for me please.

Thanks

Greg

You could use a Polariser to cut reflections?

Or use the timer and run out the way before it shoots??! Lol!

You've already done one of the most important thing which is to play with the angles. Sensor won't register what it won't see :)

Use of PL filter will help with reflection off glass, but if using wide angle, the optimal effect of polarisation will be limited towards centre of the frame, so bare in mind.

Another useful tool is ND filter. I have 10 stop ND filter, and when using small aperture, you can practically make most moving people not register on the sensor. A trick used by many in architecture photographers. If you don't have one, you can half mimic the effect by using multiple exposure of say 10 at smallest aperture to gain as much shutter speed as possible - longer the better for this. Not sure how good the results will be with workers who might be staying in similar spot through out the exposures. The other side effect is heating sensor, which will induce noise. So use cautiously.

The best solution is to either frame the shot without distracting workers, or better still, shoot at a time when there are less people around, ie early morning or weekend.

Thanks guys will give it a go and let youknow
