Photographing branded items for a website

Quick question: A friend of a friend has asked me to take some photos for his new business (PAT testing company)

He wants some photos of household items/plugs/etc for his webiste. I'm happy to do them (for a charge of course) but I wondered if there were copyright issues photographing branded products?

any ideas?

I would photoshop out any identifying logos and you should be ok, but I have no idea about actual laws so there may well be someone else along shortly with a better idea than me.

yeah I thought about doing that, just not sure if that's enough

for example id you took a picture of a i-phone or a mac it would still be obvious what it was with or without the brand name

I wouldn't show any obviously branded products in a negative light either. So if you've showing a destroyed plug at one point don't make it attached to an iPhone or whatever.
