Off to Iceland in a couple of weeks time - need to some advice as to how to photograph the Aurora properly.
Lenses I have is the Nikkor 16-35 f4 and the Nikkor 28-70 f2.8.
Camera is a Nikon D610.

Appreciate your help!

Cheers
Neil

Off there myself on 2nd April.
General opinion is that you cant go too wide, my widest is 17mm on FF, and it may not be wide enough.
There are plenty of sites on the web, just type in tips for photographing the aurora

To echo Martin, I bought a 14mm for the Aurora but the storm we had was covering the whole sky so I used an 8mm fisheye instead to get the whole sky in. Just aimed it fairly straight up and kept shooting! (Did manage to get my head in several shots through not ducking enough...)

Thanks all. Widest I have is 16mm FF - I'm sure it will do. F4 as well.
