Ladies and Gents,

Please can someone answer me a question?

I am currently sat at Silverstone on an ambulance and there are quite a few photogs with cycle/skateboard helmets on walking around.......Is it a requirement for certain areas or are they just conscientious cyclists?????

you need fireproofs to work in the pits during WEC and ELMS sessions. You also need a bike helmet so that if you catch fire you have something on your head to melt over your face.
bike helmets are also very useful if you have a flash on your camera so it can smack into you helmet every time.

but being serious, its a good thing.
its also required for Blancpain Endurance / Blancpain GT / British GT. Although I've yet to understand why we need them for the BGT races that dont have refuelling.
