Hello all,
Been lurking here for a while before deciding to register.
After years with a simple compact camera in the summer of 09 I decided to take the plunge and buy a DSLR. So after looking around and reading some guides I settled on the entry level pentax k-m with kit lens 18-55mm.
Not knowing anything else I love the camera, and hoping to upgrade the body in the next couple of years when funds enable me to do so.
I mainly shoot animals in a zoos, love the exotic animals and colouration esp in birds. So with that in mind I bought the SMC PENTAX DA 55-300MM F4-5.8 ED lens. I have also been reading some good things about the sigma 150-500mm which I hope to add to equipment next.
I suppose after nearly two years in the hobby my crowning moment came when Twycross Zoo asked me if they could use one of my images for there blog. I suppose it was the confirmation that my skills with the camera were there!

Looking forward to getting fully involved in the forum.
