i currently store all my photos on the PC in a folder, is there a piece of software where i can store my photos in a file but tag the photo with an information file where i can put in a lengthy description.

why dont you try storing them online so you dont use up all your hard drive space. flick, photbucket and photobox are just some options

i wouldnt recommened storing them online... prehaps backing them up online but i definatly would not store them online..

why dont you get a external harddrive (pretty cheap now £60ish for 1TB) and how about using a software like Lightroom to organise them.
