How do you bulk resize in photo shop cs 4

i resize single photos with it but use another one for bulk

CS4 you need to do it in Bridge select your photos and go to Tools/photoshop/image process

Here you can out put a copy to a new folder in JPG or PSD or TIFF all three to what ever size you want you can also add any actions like making a copyright notice if you have set one up in Photoshop
 
god that's long winded

I use irfanview...works a treat.

I really should learn to use and create actions though for watermarks etc
 
I have just recoreded my own action script and run batch process... but only problem is it resizes to 800px wide and works great with landscapes but when it does portrait images it doesnt do 800px high :bang:

No it not it work very fast just a few mouse clicks and all done for you.
How can a batch process be longwinded and no other software to have or change over to.
One menu item calls up the box put in your size you want and its done
 
irfanview will resize the long size of the picture rather than doing it blindly...and add some sharpening, if required or other setting although I rarely bother.
you can check boxes not to resize pictures smaller than longest side.
add text etc.
it's quite versatile so quite like using it. very speedy too.

So you still not say what is wrong with using Bridge CS4
You have knocked it with no reason The OP has CS4 so I have told him how to do it with the software he asked about
He can add sharpening in if he wishes to and have as much control as he wishes he has the full works in Photoshop he can apply if he want to. I said you can add any actions you want to
 
just sorted out an action in cs4 :thumbs: ..



when i use the action it does the first photo in the folder but only alters the other
a small amount :shrug: ...

Why make an action when it already in CS4 as I put
Is this not what the program is for doing jobs easy for you.
