Week 1 Your area + juxtaposition.

The 19th century farmhouse set against the modern skyscrapers of central London, some 20 miles distant.
Telephoto lens yielded good compression.
A short walk up the road for me.

Like that, the contrast between old and new definitely fits the technique.

That a lovely shot and perfect for theme and tech. Where abouts is that?

I forgot to use the dehaze slider to help the clarity on the skyline. Too late now.

It's from outskirts of National Trust property Polesden Lacey, Bookham Nr. Leatherhead.

Looks lovely :)

Really nice shot, piece and quiet of the countryside and the metropolis in the background.

Love that - Don;t think ';ve ever seen a skyline of London like that. Cracking light on the house too for contrast with the blue of the distance.

Good match on both themes. London looks great from there :)

Excellent shot for the the theme and the tech, I think the sky line looks great no need for the dehaze slider.
Is it leaning slightly to the right?

A lovely start for the theme and tech Peter. I think that the "bright" skyline enhances the juxtaposition.

That fits the tech to a tee... Well spotted and a great start to the 52 year.

Shot of the week in my opinion, both for content and tech. Well done.

I wonder how long before that city is part of the foreground? :(

Cracking image for area, really good idea for the tech.
Kike the biscuit shot as well again fits the theme.

Yummiest take on the theme for sure Peter :)

Area: Very good shot and great take on technique.

Incomplete : Very sweet (literally) take on the theme.

(Week 1). Fits the theme and technique well. Can easily identify some of those iconic buildings in the distance.. Very nice image.

First one fits the theme better - but as an image, I feel the second is better.

Bet they were scrumptious though. :)

That's very sweet... in more ways than one. Good take on the theme.

Week 3 Artificial

Well someone had to do artificial flowers. Complete with solid "water" in the bottom.
Shooting this took longer than I expected as the light was a little challenging.

It's a nice shot. A bit tidier would have helped it . Window frame and that thing outside.

Yes but I've got double man flu and it was a supreme effort to do this.

I agree, I could have chosen a better setting.

Taken whilst suffering from double man flu the picture is exceptional, and agree with last bit of your post:-)

Well done for getting one in - hopefully the time you spent working it has showed you a few things.

I agree with the composition comments, the only thing that jars a little for me is the vertical of the windowframe passing the right hand flower. The view of outside is a natural setting.

Get well soon!

Your area - bang on for the theme and technique, to live in a lovely place with the city that close seems the best of both worlds.
Incomplete - The completed cakes are making me hungry as all good food photography should.
Artificial - What seems straightforward can be anything but, well done for persevering. I would have preferred separation between the flower head and window frame.

Well exposed given the conditions. I would have been tempted to open up the aperture and blur any background detail if poss.
