There are rumours on the internet that Peter Kay is terminally ill. I hope it's not the case.
 
I wouldn't worry until you hear an official press release on the matter. The internet is full of rumours that generally turn out to be nothing. I forget the last few big stars named in similar rumours (or rumours that they have passed away) but they seem to do the rounds every so often.
 
I remember reading somewhere that he suffers from very bad stage fright, and that that was the reason he hadn't worked live in so long.
Maybe he just couldn't face going back on stage?
 
There are also rumours that there's a 747 on the moon, and that Trump and Kim Jong whatsit cooked up the whole "tension" thing to make them both look good after the talks.
Let's wait and see.

I've heard similar rumours through family that he was diagnosed with leukemia, and that was why he cancelled his tours. I know I'm adding fuel to the fire by saying this, so I'm being very hypocritical.
However, I don't believe anything until I hear it from a reputable news source.

Whatever's true, if he is ill, I hope he is left alone by the press to come to terms with his illness, get treatment and hopefully recover and he can be with his family.

Peter made an unscheduled appearance at a Blackpool screening of Car Share last night, but it doesn't appear to offer any clues as to what (if any) his future plans are.
