Hi All

OK, so I admit it... I was a fan of the Pet Shop Boys, and will also admit that having heard their latest single (also released tomorrow) on the radio this morning, that I rather like that too!

Here it is on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InBiaRBUjUs&feature=related

They have always been 'pop' based, but what grabbed my ear as soon as this latest single started playing was the super 'synth' sound, complete with a wonderful reverb... sad eh!!!

Gonna try to emulate this on my Virus tomorrow... :) (bottom one on avatar pic!!)

Anyone else admit to liking the Pet Shop Boys or are there liars on here... heheheheh:lol:

Always likes the Pet Shop Boys, (as well as Enigma ;)) got all their albums and will be buying their latest

I made a mistake with the album, that's out on march 23rd, it's the EP that's out tomorrow apparently.

Enigma = awesome too, just gotta love synth work eh!

Synth work, let me see,...........Tangerine Dream mean anything to you:)

Fab music, own every album and great to see a new release coming out!

Sorry

I think they are passed their best :shake:

I like the old stuff though - the simple structure worked - then

not sure it does now - will be nice to hear how the album pans out though

Sounds like they've worked with some pretty current producers so hopefully it'll be another chapter in their evolving sound. Saw them live last year at Newmarket (an evening concert after the races) and they've not lost their touch

I was there as well!

I love and adore synth music but i never really liked the Pet Shop Boys except for 'West End Girls' which is a very cool track.

I too like the PSB's, however, only a handful of their albums are well produced and as a result, sound a bit naff when played back on decent equipment.

The early stuff is far better musically than later stuff in my opinion, with "Its a Sin" being one of my faves !!

They started to lose their touch when "Very" came out, this was an ok album, but subsequent stuff just got worse for me..
