My daughter bought me one of these https://gomatic.co.uk/products/luma-camera-sling-12l-1 for Christmas.

It is perfect when I want to take a range of lenses, and to me more comfortable than a back pack.

I will hold the 100-400, 14-140 on the camera, and the 7-14 and 25mm prime under a divider, with room for plenty of batteries and cards, and a remote.

All up weight 3.2kg, and gives me 7-400 (14-800 FFeq) in one convenient smallish bag.

Don't think I will ever find the perfect bag lol

Nor have I, mu daughter did though :)

I have so many bags, trying to fine the right one, I could start a shop, given a lot away, but still have far too many.

This is the first one I have found (that is not a back pack) that will carry all I could need possibly on most outings.

I bought a Troop messenger bag in a charity shop for £10. A bit like this, but not quite the same https://www.trooplondon.com/collect...lder-bag-13-laptop-bag?variant=44503816569074

Anyway, with an insert from another old bag, it makes a great camera bag - but without looking like one, so really good for town visits. Camera, spare lens (or two), water bottle, phone, and OS maps - all in separate pockets.

Really impressed.

My G9 outfit is quite similar but I've just reorganised it in the opposite way.

I have two sizes of Tamrac bag and I've transferring the outfit from the smaller 14" Tamrac to the 17" Tamrac, which used to hold my 6x6 rollfilm outfit, before I sold that off.

The bigger bag spreads the weight out nicely and feels more comfortable. Now I need to figure out the best use of the 14" bag... :naughty:

Mrs Nod has a couple of Troop bags. One of them split its stitching JUST before covid hit and the day after she took it back to the retailer, LOCKDOWN!!! Luckily, that meant she didn't need the bag but it wasn't until (what passes for) reality returned that she got the bag back.
