I had my camera out with me today with my grandson at an activity farm, to get some shots of him with the animals , there was a falconry display there so thought id have a crack at getting some shots of the peregrine and merlin he was flying...my god those birds can shift, not my usual style of pictures as i was using servo and machine gunning @ 1/2000 and trying to keep up with it, not had a chance to have a look at the shots yet as i'm packing to go to Scotland tomorrow morning ...but I don't hold much hope of getting anything worth whilst when it was flying...how do people go about capturing shots of these magnificent creature's. amazing to watch them flying at high speed throughout the crowd at times

At falconry displays, I don't bother trying to capture any falcons on the wing - too frustrating and too good to watch without a camera in the way!

I like this shot of the lads reaction to the peregrine flying through the crowd, it literally was a foot or so off people as it came through...amazing to watch

I know my limitations and am fairly sure that following the bird well enough to get a shot like that is beyond them!!!
