Hi,

I like this photo which I took; the basic idea was it's in a lovely beachside pub, but when you're a child you'd much rather be out on the beach...
But I wondered whether people might think it lacks, for having no actual "face" in it? I guess with a bit of moving around I could have got some face without changing the feel too much.

Thanks Roger - that is a lovely image.

I feel that if the photograph tells a story (as both above do IMHO) then having the subject's face included isn't always necessary.
Both images above make me ask questions about the subject which is a good thing. Just as a sidenote, I particularly like the pinky finger outstretched on the bottle, very posh :D

Both images give enough without needing a face, you know what the expression is going to be. Good work both.:)

the whole #followmeto idea is based on the missing face and it looks like it's successful. ;)

A face is definitely not always required for me. I think it works in the examples provided here. Heck, my entry in the digital section of the tp mega meet didn't include the face. To me it wasn't necessary and didn't add anything to it.

However people differ and some have very strict views on what should or shouldn't be part of it. Most important is that you like it.
