Pentax Q Compact System Camera £149

Bought one a couple of weeks ago having decided that at that price it has to be good value. I wanted a camera that I could pop in my pocket when travelling without the car. I already have a Canon IXUS but although this is a great little snappers pocketable camera it does not have the flexibility of the Pentax Q.

The Pentax Q a great little camera with a lot of features that gives me some of the flexibility that my DSLR has but considerably smaller and lighter than my Canon 5D MK2 when travelling. The price at Amazon has now gone up to £204.99!

It's certainly not without its charms, but given the lens protrusion even with the wee 8.5mm standard prime it's still only as pocketable as my X10, which I consider to be more versatile unless you feel the need for the fisheye on the Pentax (which I do like the idea of and will probably get).

As a brucey bonus, the X10 and Q batteries appear to be interchangeable, which is useful as I don't need spare batteries :)

And to think I said I wasn't getting into another system after dallying with MFT... doh!

EDIT: Forgot to say, the shutter button action on my Q is among the worst I've ever felt! I take it the half button press is supposed to be all smooshy?
