Righty ho, i've got a Pentax ist dl2, with only the standard 17-55mm lens, i'm looking in the future to get a better body, but for now i just wanna get a few more lenses so i can give myself a wider choice, i'm thinking the 50-200mm should be my first choice, as it would be nice for some portraits, and then the 10-17mm when i've deffo got some dosh.

Does anyone know of some decent pentax retailers in the uk, not bothered if it's second hand either aslong as it's trust worthy. Websites please!

Hi

Kerso does supply Pentax lenses, at least he has provided quotes to all my enquiries.

As for decent retailers, warehouse express, park cameras, london camera exchange all provide a good choice of new lenses. London camera exchange and ffordes photographic also supply a good selection of used lenses.

It's just a case of searching really to find what you need, as what lenses to get, just making sure you have your focal ranges covered really. I have a 24-60 F2.8, 70-300, 50mm prime and my next purchase will be a Sigma 10-20mm which should set me up quite well. I find my 24-60mm F2.8 is ideal for portraits and a walk around lens, there is a 24-70 as well with a little more reach but i've been told it's a little heavier.

Good luck in your search. :)

I have seen the results of the 12-24mm pentax and although pricey, its unparalled in quality

really really fantastic lens!

oh and i have the 50-200 and its a very good lens, takes nice photos and i have really enjoyed using it. i have also just purchased the 16-45 and that is really really nice for landscape shots, and as a generally wandering lens
