I have a Pentax K100d, it seems to eat aa batteries, i have been looking at using rechargable cr-v3 batteries which seem to have a decent mah, also, would i be able to recharge the batteries in the camera? in ask the question because it has a 6.5 volt power input under the cover to the left of the LCD display.

many thanks in advance

paul.

Hello Paul, think you will find that the input is for a transformer so it can be powered from the mains

When I had a K100D Super I used Energizer Lithiums, bit pricy, but lasted for approx 1000 shots without flash. Currently four for a fiver in Waitrose or four plus two free for 7 quid in Superdrug, not rechargeable though, but considerably lighter if that matters

Many people recommend Sanyo Eneloops although I never tried them so best get others opinions on that

Paul,

same thoughts as tijuana taxi

I have a k100d. I use Sanyo Eneloops (rechargeable batteries) and I think that they go for at least 500 shots between charges. Plenty of firepower in them. I usually have only 4 AAs in the camera and take a pack of 4 charged Eneloops for backup. They hold their charge well too, unlike older technology rechargeables.

Have also used Energizer Lithiums and they were brill too, but I personally prefer to use rechargeables.
