Hello all. I've been a Canon user (?) for 20+ years as a hobbyist mainly, with the odd wedding thrown in here or there.
All the cameras and lenses I've bought, have been 2nd hand and I currently have a 1ds Mk2.
I've been very interested to read some of the early thoughts (reviews and image samples) of the new Pentax K-1. The pixel-shift looks amazing (although I do not believe it could be used for flash photography/dragging the shutter), but the ISO invariance appears to suggest that you could shoot at base 100 iso, and post process to push the shadows up to 5 stops before suffering the equivalent noise if you had shot at iso 800. This allows better capture of the more complete light gamut. But...I'm going to have a little money due me soon (inheritance) and until I saw the Pentax, I would have treated myself to either of the 5dsmk3 models, or even the 1dx-mk2 (a present to myself). Now though...the Pentax. it would mean of course, selling my lenses and seeing what i could get for them to part fund new lenses from Pentax, and also seeing if i could get an sca controller for the metz 76 flash gun i have...
