Yes
I just wanted to gauge users opinions on this. I'm thinking of getting the 1510 and wasn't sure whether to go for dividers or foam. I presume the foam would give me a 'snug' fit for my kit but the dividers would allow me to carry more. I have specifically chosen the 1510 for airline carry on reasons, is there a Storm equivalent?

I ahve the 1510 and i use the insides of my camera bag so its dividers

i simply wouldnt entertain foam... not versatile is it.. once you set your gear out you cant really change it... i would go dividers easy

Have you looked at these cases from Sealey Tools? I haven't compared the sizes with the Peli ones yet, but they look good for the money

Hi Hacker,

I use foam in one and dividers in another (two kits). Foam is very snug and offers slightly better protection if the cases are thrown around / bumped. Packed properly dividers will do the trick just fine and are obviously more useful as they are adaptable for differing situations.

There is a Storm equivalent but I cannot remember which one it is. I have Storm cases and really am impressed with them. Same high standard as Peli but locks / catches are far better.

Hope that helps a bit.

Chris :)

I have a Peli 1610 with dividers.

Your summary is about right, foam offers better protection, but dividers still offer good protection. I didn't get the foam because I'll be changing what I'm carrying too often depending on where I take the case. If it was always the same stuff I'd have ordered the foam.

I use Storm cases, and use the foam, as they are only used for transportation and foam offers better protection.

I've never had a Peli case, but when I used to use the aluminium cases, I opted for dividers, far more adaptable to gear changes, and there was enough padding on the dividers for good protection anyway.

I used dividers in my Peli because it's re-configurable (is that a word?) and I needed to take different kit at different times.

I use foam, but i have to stop a very heavy lead-gel battery from moving around and i wouldn't trust the dividers to hold it securely.
