Peli case for Canon 5d III

Hi

Looking at peli cases for transporting a 5d III (body only) and it's a bit of a minefield!

Is there any rule of thumb measurements to adhere to? Should you leave so much clearance around the body and is there a minimum recommended depth of foam above and below the body?

Was looking on the peli.com website and whilst it gives internal dimensions, and I know what the 5d III is - it doesn't say how much allowance to give.

Any help appreciated.

A Peli 1200 works well for a single 5D sized body, Andrew....it gives about 2.5cm of padding all round and you can maybe squeeze a spare battery or two in there if required.
