Yes
So it seems that there is going to be a CGI feature-length movie version of Peanuts (Charlie Brown & Snoopy).

I think there are certain things in life that really should be best left alone - and this is one of them. I'm not sure how the Schultz style is ever going to be pulled off.

The problem these days in making Hollywood films is they cost so much money to make and the studios are reluctant to take a risk with something new. I'm no film buff but I know there have been films that have lost shed loads of money, (quick look at Wiki tells me 'Mars needs Moms' (!) lost $130m in 2011, I've never heard of it either).

Consequently all the studios are interested in are sequels and remakes, films which are much less likely to bomb. That's why they're remaking 'Dad's Army', even though that should be left well alone too.

No doubt it will feature social network references etc. and at some point, a character will make a fist and utter the word YES.

How very dull zzzzzz

+1 leave it alone.

As Charlie Brown often says "Good grief". I bet Charles M Schulz must be spinning in his grave right now.

The two recent Star Trek films are perfect examples of something that has gone horribly wrong when in the hands of Hollywood directors with $ signs in eyes while at the same time being clueless about the whole concept of the franchise. With that to mind, Star Wars fan better be prepared to be utterly underwhelmed - and just when we thought The Phantom Menace was bad enough.

I for one am already against it with knowing they are planning killing Charlie Brown and Snoopy with CGI. It will just look so wrong.

2D rules.... Black and White!!

Could all end in a good 'ole American highschool shoot-out with rabid Snoopy toting an AK47.

Bloody hell! I hope not, I'm quite looking forward to it, if truth be told :)

There is a teaser trailer out already for it.....Despite my initial reaction that agrees with you all and it should be left alone, I actually don't think it looks too bad.

Hmmm.... Not sure, could be a bit like having a new Dr. Who, hate him at first, then think he's ok, then love him. Or maybe not.

You know, that might just work as it appears to use the "stop motion" style. Now it must have a storyline faithful to the franchise - something Hollywood directors will struggle with.
