I had the good fortune of meeting the people behind Peak Imaging last weekend and it confirmed my opinion that Peak is a thoroughly lovely company. I have used Peak imaging for years. I used t use them for E6 processing and Black and white. Most recently I have used them for a 1917 Kodak camera project and indirectly a company I work for who do underwater photoshoots uses them for image processing.

If you are looking for a processing lab, then I can whole-heartedly recommend them :)

I use them all the time as well, i think @RumpFace is one the chaps there mixing all the films up :-)

Just received a developed and printed 120 film from them today, really excellent, and great to talk to over the phone, very helpful and take their time explaining things/orders.

:D

I also use them all the time for my colour films. First films I sent in, chap called to explain that there was a problem with my camera which I wasn't aware of; he'd identified it from the negatives and then still delivered mostly usable images by manipulating the scans. Can't fault their service and I'll happily recommend them to anyone. :)

I think you're preaching to the converted in here, a good percentage of the folk in the f&c section have used Peak for their processing in the past and unless they drop their very high standards will do again.

Yes another thumbs up for Peak Imaging used them for years always very happy with the results. I haven't used them for a while because I have been digital only but just purchased a film camera again so will definitely be using them .

This! I've never found Peak to be anything other than absolutely superb in every respect, I wouldn't even consider sending my films anywhere else (I'm sure there are other equally good labs out there, but if it ain't broke don't fix it!)

Agree they are excellent, but I have of late been using AG instead as they are much cheaper, esp with their biggish scans included. The only downside with AG has been how long they can take to turn stuff around, however I have just received 4 rolls of C41 120 back from them with medium scans with a total turnaround of 4 days including the time required for it to reach them in their postage paid envelope. So a pat on the back for them too.

Another satisfied Peak user here. Have used AG once before for devving and many times for film purchases and vowed to never again.

thanks for your comments, it's nice to hear rather than the occasional (rare) grumble.
One thing i'm finding more and more though is that people expect to be able to push film to really high indexes and expect good negs, this seems to be a new thing since digital SLRs became "useable" at 128500 ISO.

Oh, and if you're impressed with our processing tell everyone. :)

I think we just did :) ! I also use Peak for my B&W and get really good quality; only grumble is the scan costs seem a bit high. If the medium scan was the same price as the current low scan I'd be much happier; a 1200 ppi scan is quite limited for further processing...

I have recently started using Peak. Mainly for B&W scans. I should really scan the negatives myself as B&W is often easier to work with however I won't lie... I'm lazy!

Quality has been really good. I echo Chris Rs comments about scan costs for medium scans however. Saying that, the normal size suits most of my needs at the moment. I send all my colour stuff to UK Film Lab as I prefer there colour rendition and appreciate the feedback given too.

Yes, I always recommend Peak to people when asked. By far the most reliable, quick service for quality negs & scans I've found.
