pdf files opening in Photoshop Elements 13

Hi - hope sks can help
When I go to open a pdf file it opens in PE13 not Acrobat
I've checked Default Programs and pdf files appear to be associated with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
So why is this happening, and how can I overcome this?

If you are using Windows, in the search box type the word default. That will allow you to open the Default Programs application and you can change your default PDF viewer from there.
