Hi,how do i make a PDF file from a document in my PC

Your office software might be able to save as pdf?

download install. now any doc, excel picture whatever you can turn to PDF, all you do is select print change your printer to PDF creator instead of printing it saves it as a PDF file.
 
I don't have office or any thing like that on PC ,never had the need before .... bit antiquated i know ;)

whats the the document in then? How are you reading or creating it?
 
It's in MY documents on PC . Here's the lowdown (which i probably should've said in the first place) My eldest scanned his insurance certificate hoping to email it to the garage he has bought a car from ,they wont accept it unless it's in pdf file format .... hence the need for a pdf file creator....:)
 
The garage might mean they want a copy of the file the insurers sent your son - a PDF of a scan of a document is as easy to fake as a JPEG.

I really need to get my PC sorted, or rather the files.... All sorted now thanks everyone
 
The insurers didn't send a file, they sent the actual certificate
 
Take a photocopy of the original Certificate and send/give it to them
