Paypal fees

Can someone advise me please ?

Maybe I'm 'thick' but I cannot find out what paypal will charge me for receiving money (UK source)

They don't charge you anything.

if its sent as a gift, friends or family then no fees

There are fees involved unless using friends/gift.
If you sell something and the buyer wants protection, so its not paid using friends/gift, then PayPal deduct a fee from the payment before you receive it.
The fee is made up of a percentage fee of 2.9% + a fixed fee of 30p so if you sold something for £100 you would receive £96.80
Some people ask the buyer to cover the fees, so for you to receive £100 the buyer would pay £103.30
