Pay them before or after ?

Hi Guys,

This might be a silly question, but I have been told two different answers.

Ok, I have got a couple photoshoots with models in the next few weeks...these will be pay shoots.

Do I pay them before the shoot or after the shoot ?

Some people say they pay them before the shoot...but others are saying pay them after the shoot so they are working for the money.

never done a shoot of this nature. My feeling is to pay after. More incentive for them to turn up.

In this sort of thing I would say pay after, since if you pay before and they don't arrive... you're screwed and you've lost your money.

Get the model release signed before you start shooting (in case you forget afterwards or they refuse to sign it) and pay them at the end

Making the assumption that you're paying them in cash, then Garry's got it right. Model release, then payment.
