Latest vlog is up and it’s coming to you from the end of the world! The Patagonian fjords to be precise.

A couple of weeks ago I arrived in Santiago and after much paperwork and testing I was able to carry out a commissioned job for a magazine and another client aboard a cruise to Cape Horn and back again.

The environment is extremely challenging and at most the wind speed picked up to 78 knots or around 140kmph. So trying to get sharp shots at certain points was nigh o impossible of you’re technique isn’t up to scratch.

So enjoy a look at the end of the world…or maybe it’s the beginning:

Hi Julian,

Thanks for sharing. I am somewhat envious and yes, that is a stunning view from your "office" :)

I haven't been in that part of the world since 1982.

Best way to fly there is into Santiago then to either Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales.

Costs can be VERY expensive. The least for a hotel in Torres del Paine is about £300 per night.

Most cost effective way is to camp.

But remember if you camp it MUST be in the designated areas. And there are also pumas in the park. I had to sign a waiver.

YouTube vlog on Torres del Paine is coming soon. I haven’t put it together yet. You’ll see an outstanding sunrise.
