Does anyone know how/where I could get this issue resolved?

My SDCard snapped at the tip when releasing from the camera (Canon 550D) a tiny piece around 1mm thick covering the tip of the SDCard remained in the camera, the camera works fine when using this particular SDCard but trying to use any other it wont accept and says that there is no Card in Camera, when there is.

Can you not get a long pin in there to gently pull it out? Do you think it's wedged quite awkwardly?

Turns out, trying with a pin and looking into the light, the slot is empty and clear, so now I am confused as to why it wont accept any other SDCard other than the damaged one

Perhaps when you put the broken card back on its pulled the loose bit out with it ?

Have you tried another new card since ?

Also could a pin contact be bent away ?

SD card slots normally have mechanism that grips the card, push to fit, push to release. It could be that the mechanism is stuck in the locked position, you should be able to unlock it by pushing a narrow object down on either side of the slot frame, rather than prodding aimlessly toward the contacts.

Yes any other cards show the No Card in Camera message when switched on,

Been trying to Google an image of what it should look like, but can't find it
