Well the first one is hardly exciting but my excuse is I'm suffering from the dreaded lurgy and this was only a matter of shooting from my back door. Hopefully the pics will improve with my health:thumbs:

ACCOMODATION - an abandoned nest

Hope the lurgy clears up and great idea. I was thinking the same sort of lines but couldn't see anything to go for. What did it look like in B&W?

Thanks ERU. Great minds must think alike, I must have been converting it whilst you typed:) What do you think?

I think I prefer the colour varient. Good work on getting something posted despite the ill health. If you are still feeling poorly I suggest a magic medicine - 3 parts Southern Comfort to 1 part alcoholic lemonade!

Very Large Brandy hot as you can stand with three spoonful of sugar. Into bed feel great in morning. Repeat. Works for me. Oh good shot by the way colour for me.
Hope you feel well soon
Albi

Thats the beauty of a project 52, when you are better you will be able to get out and about..
At last you managed to get a decent shot from your house..

WEEK 2 - NEW

The lurgy is going so I felt strong enough to attempt a macro for week 2. Can you tell what it is yet? (Australian accent!)

Well more like OLD potato with NEW growth? Interesting square shot here; maybe a looser crop would have been better? Hope you get better for the rest of the year :)

WEEK 3 - STYLE

"In common designs such as the horizontal sundial, the sun casts a shadow from its style (also called its gnomon, which is a thin rod or a sharp, straight edge), onto a flat surface marked with lines indicating the hours of the day." (Wickipedia)

Great idea for the theme, different but works really well :-) & focus or DOF (whatever you want to term it) looks spot on.

nice interpretation of the word:-)also, really nice shot, and very well lit for 7.00 this time of year!

Although perhaps a slightly more oblique view of the Gnomon to show more of it?

or did you try that?

Hi Dan, I did try the more oblique view but it didn't seem to work very well.

BTW it's 12 o'clock, not 0700;):) Thanks for looking.

I like the sun dial pic, although I too read it as 7 as opposed to 12. Is it possible to rotate the image in PS so that the time is clearer?

Spooks

Simon, how do you read XII as VII? And it comes between I and XI:)
Can't see the problem? Please explain.

I tried a few like that David but couldn't seem to achieve anything special so went for a straightforward example of the style in action. Thanks for looking.
